WAKE THE DEAD

Cinemavixion Review

Michael Luceri's 'Wake the Dead' plunges viewers into a chilling exploration of the supernatural, anchored by a compelling premise. Following a near-death experience, Kristin finds herself tethered to a terrifying spirit world, a connection that her family desperately seeks to sever. The film excels in building atmospheric dread, skillfully weaving Kristin's personal struggle with the encroaching darkness. Nadia Gillespie delivers a nuanced performance as Kristin, portraying her descent into fear and desperation with palpable intensity. While the supporting cast provides solid grounding, it is Gillespie's portrayal that truly anchors the narrative. The plot, further detailed by external data, introduces a haunted house element, adding layers of suspense as the entity's past and malevolent intentions become clearer. 'Wake the Dead' offers a taut, engaging horror experience that probes the boundaries between life, death, and the spectral realm.
