SHED

Cinemavixion Review

David Axe's indie horror 'SHED' offers a tautly constructed narrative that, despite its creature-feature premise, delves deeply into the complexities of human connection. Set against the backdrop of a rollicking Halloween party, the film masterfully weaves a chilling tale of parasitic monsters, using their grotesque presence to amplify the underlying themes of loyalty, love, and redefined relationships. The performances, particularly from Mike Amason, Chelsea Atherton, and Katerina Barrie, ground the supernatural horror in palpable emotional stakes. While the film boasts a modest IMDb rating, its strength lies in its ability to explore intimate human drama amidst the visceral terror, proving that sometimes, the most frightening monsters are the ones that hide in plain sight, or perhaps, within ourselves. It's a compelling watch for those who appreciate horror with a thematic core.
