SISTERS OF THE PLAGUE

Cinemavixion Review

In the atmospheric heart of New Orleans, 'Sisters of the Plague' weaves a chilling narrative of supernatural dread. Director Jorge Torres-Torres masterfully employs the city's inherent mystique as Jo, portrayed with compelling vulnerability, leads haunted house tours. Her personal life becomes the epicenter of terror when supernatural occurrences escalate after her father moves in. The film excels in its portrayal of escalating fear, particularly as Jo seeks the aid of a medium, only to confront a malevolent force far exceeding her comprehension. The performances, especially from Isolde Chae-Lawrence, Josephine Decker, and Eva Dorrepaal, lend a grounded intensity to the unfolding horror. This unsettling exploration of unseen forces and personal entanglement offers a potent, disquieting cinematic experience that lingers long after the credits roll.
