A HORSE STORY

Cinemavixion Review

John Rogers' "A Horse Story" offers a heartwarming journey into the imaginative realm where the impossible becomes possible. The film centers on Monica and her remarkable steed, Champion, who possesses the extraordinary ability to speak. This fantastical premise serves as a catalyst for a dual exploration of identity and purpose. As Monica guides Champion in his quest to understand his own aspirations, she concurrently embarks on a path of self-discovery. The narrative, enriched by the performances of Sarah Lieving, Aaron Johnson Araza, and Jesse Bell, beautifully illustrates the profound bonds that can form between humans and animals, while also celebrating the courage it takes to forge one's own destiny. It's a charming tale that resonates with themes of friendship, courage, and the universal search for one's place in the world.
