TRADERS

Cinemavixion Review

Rachael Moriarty and Peter Murphy's "Traders" presents a chillingly plausible, albeit extreme, vision of economic desperation. Set against a backdrop where financial ruin is a palpable threat, the film explores a dark market born from societal despair. The narrative centers on Vernon's morbid fascination with the correlation between unemployment and suicide rates, leading to the creation of a deadly service where participants fight to the death for financial gain. Killian Scott, John Bradley, and Nika McGuigan deliver compelling performances, anchoring the film's provocative premise with raw intensity. With a reported 82% on Rotten Tomatoes and a solid 6.2 on IMDb, "Traders" is a thought-provoking thriller that delves into the extreme measures individuals might consider when faced with insurmountable economic hardship, questioning the very nature of survival and morality in a capitalist society.
