TORMENTED

Cinemavixion Review

Bert I. Gordon's 1960 offering, "Tormented," plunges viewers into a chilling tale of guilt and supernatural retribution. The film centers on Tom Stewart, a man whose impending marriage is shattered by the violent reappearance of a former lover. A fateful confrontation atop a lighthouse culminates in her tragic death, but Tom's relief is short-lived as her vengeful spirit embarks on a relentless haunting. While "Tormented" may not boast the polish of contemporary horror, its effective atmosphere and classic ghost story narrative offer a compelling watch for aficionados of vintage thrillers. The film's modest runtime ensures a brisk pace, making it an accessible entry into Gordon's distinctive body of work.
