THE HORRIFIC EXTENT OF EUROPEAN BRUTALITY IN THE AMERICAS | BEFORE COLUMBUS | CHRONICLE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, 'Before Columbus: The Horrific Extent Of European Brutality In The Americas', plunges into the grim reality that followed the European 'discovery' of the Americas in 1492. It meticulously details a sustained campaign of violence waged against indigenous populations, targeting not only their lives but also their rich cultures, distinct languages, and deeply held spiritual beliefs. The narrative powerfully argues that this historical conflict has not ended, but has merely evolved into a new, contemporary phase. The film serves as a stark reminder of the enduring consequences of colonialism and a call to acknowledge the ongoing struggles faced by indigenous communities worldwide. Its unflinching look at history prompts crucial reflection on historical narratives and their lasting impact.
