OLIVER HARDY & LARRY SEMON: THE SAWMILL

Cinemavixion Review

This short film, often attributed to the early careers of comedy legends Oliver Hardy and Larry Semon, presents a simple, albeit familiar, narrative. The plot follows a hapless sawmill worker whose romantic aspirations are hampered by a domineering foreman, all while he vies for the affection of the owner's daughter. While the description lacks specific directorial or production details, it hints at the slapstick and character-driven humor that would later define the stars' individual careers. The film serves as a quaint, early example of the comedic archetypes that would become so beloved by audiences.
