GET LUKE LOWE

Cinemavixion Review

Drew V Marke's "Get Luke Lowe" (2020) presents a dark, revenge-fueled thriller that delves into the volatile world of online trolling and its real-world consequences. Starring Emma McDonald, May Kelly, and Barney Jones, the film centers on two friends, Eve and Bonnie, who take justice into their own hands after an alt-right cyberbully, known online as SnowflakeAvenger, drives their friend to suicide. Their plan to abduct and publicly torture him, streamed live, escalates the stakes beyond mere vengeance, exploring the blurred lines between activism and vigilantism. While the film garnered one nomination, its reception, as indicated by IMDb ratings, suggests a polarizing viewing experience. "Get Luke Lowe" offers a provocative, albeit grim, examination of online harassment and the extreme measures some might consider in its aftermath, challenging viewers with its unflinching portrayal of rage and retribution.
