THE MENKOFF METHOD

Cinemavixion Review

David Parker's "The Menkoff Method" offers a refreshingly unique blend of satirical office comedy and anime-inspired chaos. Set against the mundane backdrop of a data processing center, the film cleverly contrasts the protagonist David Cork's introspective world of manga with the increasingly bizarre machinations of the sinister HR guru, Max Menkoff. Lachlan Woods grounds the narrative as Cork, a relatable everyman thrust into extraordinary circumstances, while the supporting cast, including Jessica Clarke as the capable Ruby Jackson, provides a solid counterpoint. The narrative's ability to weave together elements of spy thrillers and workplace absurdity, all while maintaining a core of genuine heart, makes it a distinctive watch. While official accolades may be scarce, its original premise and energetic execution certainly warrant a look for those seeking comedy with an unconventional edge.
