ANIMAL AMONG US

Cinemavixion Review

"Animal Among Us" plunges viewers into the chilling aftermath of a campground tragedy, a premise that resonates with classic horror tropes. Fifteen years after a brutal incident led to the closure of Merrymaker Campgrounds, the narrative reopens old wounds, suggesting that the past is far from buried. What begins as a campfire story quickly escalates into a terrifying reality as an unknown menace stalks the woods, blurring the lines between legend and an impending threat. The film, directed by John Woodruff and starring Larisa Oleynik, Christian Oliver, and Erin Daniels, attempts to weave a suspenseful tale of unraveling secrets and primal fears. While the premise promises a deep dive into mystery and horror, the execution, as suggested by its 3.5/10 rating on IMDb, may leave audiences wanting more. Despite its potential, "Animal Among Us" appears to be a film that, while intriguing in concept, struggles to fully capitalize on its terrifying setup, offering a suspenseful, albeit flawed, cinematic experience for horror aficionados.
