This 2021 independent horror film, "Dawn of the Beast," directed by Bruce Wemple, plunges viewers into the dense Northeastern wilderness, where a group of graduate students embarks on a quest to find Bigfoot. What begins as a cryptozoological expedition quickly devolves into a terrifying fight for survival as they discover that the legendary creature is not the only menace lurking in the ancient forests. The film masterfully introduces a far more sinister entity, the Wendigo, creating a compelling dual threat that escalates the suspense. Adrián Burke, Ariella Mastroianni, and Grant Schumacher deliver solid performances, grounding the supernatural elements in believable human reactions.
