YOUR MOTHER WEARS COMBAT BOOTS

Cinemavixion Review

This 1989 comedy-drama, 'Your Mother Wears Combat Boots,' directed by Anson Williams, presents a unique premise centered on a mother's drastic measures to dissuade her son from military service. Barbara Eden delivers a compelling performance as a determined mother who enlists herself to fulfill a bet, aiming to send her son back to college. The film explores themes of parental concern, generational conflict, and the unexpected paths individuals take. While perhaps not a critical darling, its charming cast, including Hector Elizondo and Meagen Fay, alongside Eden's spirited portrayal, offers a heartwarming, albeit occasionally predictable, narrative. The film's blend of humor and earnest emotion makes it a watchable exploration of a mother's love and a son's quest for independence.
