WORLD WAR ZERO - EPISODE 2

Cinemavixion Review

Denis Bespalyi's documentary series, 'World War 0', embarks on an ambitious journey to reframe the Crimean War (1853-1856) not as an isolated conflict, but as a pivotal episode in a broader global struggle for dominance. This second installment delves into the complex geopolitical landscape of the mid-19th century, examining the overt and covert motivations that propelled the Russian Empire into confrontation with the Allied Forces of the British Empire, France, and the Kingdom of Sardinia. The series posits that this conflict, stretching from the Baltic to the Pacific, was in essence a 'war for world domination.' Through insightful narration and presumably compelling historical analysis, 'World War 0' seeks to illuminate the intricate web of international relations and the crucial role the Russian Empire played on the world political stage during this tumultuous era.
