WILD AMERICA: CUTTHROAT - YELLOWSTOME LAKE

Cinemavixion Review

This installment of Marty Stouffer's 'Wild America' series, "Cutthroat - Yellowstone Lake," offers a rare glimpse into the hidden aquatic world of Yellowstone Lake. Premiering in 1990, the documentary ventures beyond the usual tourist paths, exploring the remote Thorofare Region. The focus is on the Cutthroat Trout, identified as a keystone species crucial to the lake's ecosystem. Stouffer and his crew embark on a summer-long expedition, aiming to capture the unseen underwater wilderness that supports this vibrant life. While the film highlights the park's natural beauty and the importance of its inhabitants, it serves as a valuable, albeit brief, educational piece on the lesser-known aspects of this iconic National Park.
