WHAT'S GOING WRONG FOR ASIAN MEN?

Cinemavixion Review

Mehreen Baig's insightful documentary, 'What's Going Wrong for Asian Men?', ventures beyond sensationalist headlines to offer a nuanced exploration of the challenges faced by British Asian men. Baig, a British-Pakistani herself, personally navigates this complex landscape, engaging directly with young men from various communities. The film commendably moves past generalizations, seeking to understand the lived realities of growing up in contemporary Britain through intimate conversations and direct observation. While the external data suggests a 2018 release and a 5.2 rating on IMDb, the core of the film lies in its empathetic approach and its commitment to presenting a more authentic, personal narrative that challenges prevailing, often negative, perceptions. It's a vital piece that encourages deeper understanding and dialogue on a crucial social issue.
