WEST OF HELL

Cinemavixion Review

Michael Steves' "West of Hell" plunges viewers into a chilling supernatural Western set aboard a midnight train to Atlanta. The film masterfully blends genres, weaving a tale of vengeance and survival against a backdrop of spectral horror. Tony Todd delivers a compelling performance as a former slave seeking retribution, his journey complicated by the presence of a vengeful mercenary and the master's daughter. The narrative escalates from a grim pursuit to a desperate fight for survival against an unseen, sinister force. While the IMDb rating suggests a mixed reception, the unique premise and the atmospheric tension, amplified by the performances of Todd, Michael Eklund, and Lance Henriksen, make "West of Hell" a noteworthy exploration of dark themes on the American frontier. It's a journey that promises more than just a destination, but a harrowing encounter with the unknown.
