WAR OF THE WORLDS 2

Cinemavixion Review

This direct-to-video sequel, 'War of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave', plunges viewers back into a post-apocalyptic Earth ravaged by Martian invaders. Set two years after the initial onslaught, the film depicts a desperate humanity facing a renewed assault. While the premise echoes its blockbuster predecessor, this installment, directed by and starring C. Thomas Howell, charts its own course through the familiar landscape of alien invasion cinema. The narrative focuses on a last-ditch effort to strike back at the Red Planet, underscoring themes of resilience and the enduring fight for survival against overwhelming odds. Despite a low IMDb rating, the film offers a continuation of the alien threat for those invested in its specific narrative arc, exploring the grim realities of a world under siege and the unyielding human spirit.
