WAIT TILL HELEN COMES

Cinemavixion Review

Dominic James's "Wait Till Helen Comes" offers a compelling exploration of family dynamics intertwined with the supernatural. Set in a converted church, the narrative centers on Molly, a teenager tasked with protecting her vulnerable stepsister from a malevolent spectral presence. Sophie Nélisse delivers a nuanced performance as Molly, grappling with newfound responsibilities and a latent psychic ability. Maria Bello provides strong support as the mother navigating this unsettling new reality. The film adeptly balances its horror elements with a poignant examination of sibling relationships and the challenges of blended families. While the supernatural premise is central, the emotional core of the story resonates deeply, making "Wait Till Helen Comes" a thought-provoking entry in the genre.
