WAINWRIGHT WALKS - A JOURNEY TO HAYSTACKS

Cinemavixion Review

Julia Bradbury embarks on a new six-part series, 'Wainwright Walks,' delving into the heart of the Lake District. Drawing inspiration from Wainwright's iconic Pictorial Guides, Bradbury undertakes some of the nation's most celebrated fell-walks. Utilizing aerial cinematography, the series captures her journey over majestic mountains and serene waters. Viewers can anticipate explorations of dramatic ridges, remnants of forgotten villages, and ancient stone carvings of animals. Notably, the series covers the sole summit route that Wainwright himself did not complete. Through diverse weather conditions, Bradbury navigates and celebrates the breathtaking landscapes that profoundly influenced Alfred Wainwright's renowned guidebook artistry.
