Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the deeply unsettling world of Catholic exorcism, a practice that continues to draw hundreds of thousands to Vatican City annually seeking solace from perceived demonic possession. 'Return of the Exorcists' offers a rare and often disturbing glimpse into the rituals, capturing exorcists and those afflicted in states of intense trance and altered consciousness. Beyond the sensationalism of the rite itself, the film thoughtfully explores the everyday lives of these prominent Italian exorcists and the individuals who turn to them. It endeavors to demystify the practice, examining its true nature and the reasons behind its enduring, and perhaps even growing, relevance in contemporary society. The footage is compelling, raising profound questions about faith, belief, and the human psyche.
