The documentary traces Ayahuasca's journey from its indigenous roots in the Amazonian rainforest to its integration into spiritual practices like the Santo Daime religion, and its subsequent diffusion into urban landscapes. Noro artfully weaves together scientific inquiry, anthropological observation, and religious perspectives, presenting a multifaceted view of Ayahuasca's role in contemporary society. More intimately, the film chronicles the director's personal healing journey, offering a unique, introspective lens through which to understand the transformative potential of this powerful psychedelic.
