TUSCALOOSA

Cinemavixion Review

Phil Harder's 'Tuscaloosa' presents a compelling narrative centered around Billy's entanglement with an inmate at a psychiatric facility. The film delves into themes of love and liberation as Billy attempts to aid her escape, while simultaneously confronting the broader societal issues of inequality through his friend's struggles. While the film touches upon significant dramatic elements, its exploration of these complex themes may leave some viewers yearning for deeper engagement. The performances, particularly from Natalia Dyer and Devon Bostick, offer moments of genuine emotional resonance, grounding the story in relatable human experiences amidst the unconventional setting.
