THUNDERSTORM: THE RETURN OF THOR

Cinemavixion Review

Brett Kelly's 'Thunderstorm: The Return of Thor' presents a bold, albeit low-budget, take on mythological clashes, pitting the might of Thor against the sinister machinations of the Death Risers. The narrative centers on military scientist Grant Farrel, who is imbued with Thor's lightning powers to combat the cult's plan to resurrect Hel and unleash the Midgard Dragon upon humanity. While the special effects and production values may reflect its independent origins, the film's earnest commitment to its high-concept premise is evident. Ray Besharah, Celine Filion, and Jody Haucke anchor the story with performances that navigate the line between camp and genuine heroic struggle. For viewers seeking a unique blend of comic book fantasy and cult horror, 'Thunderstorm' offers a surprisingly engaging, if unconventional, cinematic experience that prioritizes imaginative storytelling over polished spectacle.
