THOR THE CONQUEROR

Cinemavixion Review

Tonino Ricci's 1983 film, 'Thor the Conqueror,' plunges viewers into a brutal world of mythic revenge. Anchored by a compelling performance from Bruno Minniti as the titular warrior, the narrative follows Thor's relentless quest to avenge his parents' murder at the hands of Gnut. The film effectively captures the barbaric spirit of its era, blending elements of sword-and-sorcery with a raw, visceral approach to action. While its plot may tread familiar ground, the commitment to its dark fantasy premise, combined with the impressive physical performances and a palpable sense of danger, makes 'Thor the Conqueror' a noteworthy, albeit grim, entry in the genre. The supporting cast, including Maria Romano and Malisa Longo, adds depth to this saga of loss and retribution.
