THIEVES AND ROBBERS

Cinemavixion Review

Bruno Corbucci's 'Thieves and Robbers' plunges us into the chaotic world of L.A.P.D. Captain Parker, whose much-anticipated family holiday is abruptly derailed by the pursuit of Tony Roma. Roma, a delightfully unconvincing Latin lover, specializes in charming older women for their jewels. The narrative gains a sharp twist when Roma inadvertently becomes a witness to a mob hit, complicating Parker's already strained efforts to close the case. While Parker is forced to cancel his vacation, the film offers a blend of crime intrigue and comedic elements, characteristic of Corbucci's style. The dynamic between the determined captain and the slippery thief provides ample opportunity for both suspense and lighthearted moments, making it an engaging watch for fans of Italian crime-comedies.
