THEY CAME FROM THE ETHER

Cinemavixion Review

James Pronath's 2014 sci-fi horror "They Came from the Ether" offers a chilling glimpse into the consequences of unchecked ambition. The film stars Tavis L. Baker as John Henry, a desperate salesman whose encounter with an alien visitor promises a shortcut to success. However, this Faustian bargain, brokered in exchange for assistance with extraterrestrial experimentation, opens a Pandora's Box that threatens the very fabric of humanity. As missing persons reports pile up, it falls to Detective Mike Washburn to unravel the sinister truth behind the disappearances. Despite a modest IMDb rating of 5.3, the film garnered 2 wins and 4 nominations, suggesting a compelling narrative that explores themes of greed and cosmic horror. "They Came from the Ether" is a thought-provoking, albeit gritty, addition to the science fiction landscape, urging viewers to consider the price of progress.
