THE WALL BETWEEN NORTH AND SOUTH KOREA: A BORDER STORY

Cinemavixion Review

This compelling series, narrated by the acclaimed Matthew Rhys, delves into the profound human impact of division through the lens of iconic walls and borders. Shot in stunning 4K, it journeys from the Korean Demilitarized Zone to the US-Mexico border, the Israel-Palestine Separation Barrier, Northern Ireland's walled communities, Cyprus' Green Line, and the historical Berlin Wall. Each episode transcends mere geography, unearthing the deeply personal stories behind these imposing structures. It thoughtfully questions their necessity, their daily consequences on lives, and the potential for reconciliation when barriers fall. Ultimately, the series is a poignant exploration of hope, unity, and the enduring resilience of the human spirit in the perpetual struggle against separation.
