THE WAIT

Cinemavixion Review

Tiziana Bosco's "The Wait" offers a compelling narrative centered on redemption and fate within the shadowy world of the mafia. The film masterfully weaves a tale of a killer tasked with assuming the identity of his victim, setting the stage for a profound internal struggle. The tension escalates through two pivotal chess matches – one with his intended victim, the other with his unforgiving boss – each symbolizing the character's shifting allegiances and the complex choices he must make. The cinematography captures the evocative journey back to Sicily, a setting that mirrors the characters' own protracted return after three decades. With a solid 6.1 rating on IMDb and a promising 73% on Rotten Tomatoes, "The Wait" is a thoughtful exploration of second chances and the indelible marks we leave on each other's lives, anchored by strong performances from Luca Lionello and Stephen Badalamenti.
