THE WACKIEST WAGON TRAIN IN THE WEST

Cinemavixion Review

This comedic Western, "The Wackiest Wagon Train in the West," offers a delightful romp across the American plains, starring the ever-bumbling Bob Denver as Dusty. Separated from their wagon train, Dusty and a motley crew of seven find themselves navigating the perils of the wilderness. The film cleverly stitches together a series of episodic misadventures, from encounters with Native Americans to run-ins with cattle rustlers and even a spectral shootout. Drawing parallels to the beloved "Gilligan's Island," the narrative leverages Denver's comedic talents to create a lighthearted, albeit chaotic, journey towards California. While perhaps not a critical darling, its blend of slapstick humor and Western tropes provides a unique, if somewhat dated, viewing experience that fans of classic comedy and lighthearted adventure will appreciate.
