THE TREASURE OF UNION BRIDGE

Cinemavixion Review

This melancholic Southern Gothic tale, 'The Treasure of Union Bridge,' plunges into the isolated world of a small Maryland town. The film follows Will Shipe, a prodigal son returning home after a prolonged absence in the city, feeling burnt out and disconnected. His mother harbors hopes of restoring the family's honor, tarnished by the legacy of Will's deceased father. The narrative takes a turn when Will reconnects with an old friend, Nick Taylor, who is consumed by a nightly obsession: digging for buried Confederate treasure based on supposed visions. This eerie setup promises a deep dive into themes of family legacy, disillusionment, and the lure of forgotten riches, appealing to fans of atmospheric and character-driven cinema.
