THE TINDER DATE KILLER: GRACE MILLANE’S STORY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the tragic story of Grace Millane, a young backpacker whose life was cut short during a Tinder date in New Zealand in 2018. The narrative powerfully reconstructs the events leading up to her murder, utilizing surveillance footage that chillingly captures the killer's attempt to conceal her body. The film highlights the disturbing swiftness with which the perpetrator moved on, engaging in another date shortly after the crime, a detail that underscores the audacity and depravity of his actions. The documentary also touches upon a separate, equally disturbing case in the UK involving a 13-year-old victim, drawing parallels in the use of CCTV evidence to apprehend those who exploit and harm the vulnerable. It serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that can lurk beneath the surface of online interactions and the critical role of investigative technology in seeking justice.
