THE SECRET LIFE OF KATHY MCCORMICK

Cinemavixion Review

Robert Michael Lewis's 1988 comedy, "The Secret Life of Kathy McCormick," offers a charming, albeit predictable, tale of mistaken identity and social climbing. Barbara Eden stars as Kathy, a humble grocery store clerk whose life takes an unexpected turn when she inadvertently infiltrates the upper echelons of society. The central conceit revolves around a wealthy suitor who mistakes her for a savvy stockbroker, leading to a series of humorous predicaments and romantic entanglements. While the plot treads familiar ground, Eden's performance imbues Kathy with a relatable warmth and wit that carries the film. The movie, which garnered a 6.2 rating on IMDb, may not be a groundbreaking cinematic achievement, but it serves as a lighthearted and enjoyable diversion, perfect for those seeking a feel-good romantic comedy with a touch of playful deception.
