THE ONES YOU DIDN’T BURN | WITCHCRAFT NEVER DIES | FULL MOVIE

Cinemavixion Review

Elise Finnerty's "The Ones You Didn't Burn" plunges into the shadowed depths of folk horror, weaving a narrative steeped in occult secrets and the persistent specter of family trauma. The film masterfully utilizes its eerie rural setting, creating an atmosphere thick with unspoken history and generational guilt. As a troubled young man returns to his ancestral estate following his father's death, he becomes ensnared in a chilling confrontation with two women who assert a claim rooted in historical injustice—their ancestors, accused witches, were wronged by his own bloodline. Finnerty crafts a quietly haunting tale where the past refuses to stay buried, manifesting in unsettling visions and a palpable sense of supernatural revenge. The directorial hand is assured, building dread through psychological unease and a potent connection to ancient evils that bind the protagonist to his lineage. It's a compelling exploration of inherited sin and the enduring power of the occult.
