DEAD MARY

Cinemavixion Review

Robert Wilson's 'Dead Mary' plunges viewers into a chilling weekend getaway that quickly devolves into a supernatural nightmare. The film masterfully builds suspense as a group of friends, seeking thrills in a secluded woodland setting, inadvertently unleash an ancient evil through a Ouija-like ritual. The narrative cleverly explores themes of trust and paranoia as the entity begins to possess the friends one by one, blurring the lines between victim and perpetrator. Dominique Swain and the ensemble cast deliver compelling performances, grappling with escalating terror and suspicion. While the film may not boast major accolades, its atmospheric tension and inventive take on possession tropes make it a noteworthy entry in the horror genre, offering a satisfyingly grim descent into fear.
