THE LIFE IN GATED COMMUNITIES | INSIDE THE LUXURY PRISONS OF THE SUPER RICH

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a provocative look into the lives of the ultra-wealthy within exclusive gated communities. It meticulously details the opulent amenities available, from private dining and sports facilities to round-the-clock personal trainers, highlighting a lifestyle of unparalleled convenience and luxury. However, the film doesn't shy away from the considerable financial and social costs. The hefty monthly fees, strict adherence to a prescribed lifestyle, and a litany of regulations, including curfews for children and stringent rules on property maintenance, reveal a less glamorous reality. Director Gila Nazari questions the global proliferation of these enclaves, posing a critical question about the future of public space and the potential for societal division as more people retreat behind walls. The film serves as a compelling, if unsettling, examination of wealth, exclusivity, and the evolving concept of home.
