THE HYBRIDS FAMILY

Cinemavixion Review

Tony Randel's "The Hybrids Family" (2015) presents a unique blend of supernatural fantasy and familial comedy, centering on the extraordinary lives of two hybrid children born to a vampire and a witch. The narrative, penned by Tony Schweikle, delves into the challenges faced by Blaz and Velana as they navigate their dual heritage while yearning for a semblance of normalcy. Their escape from a sheltered existence in a remote château to the vibrant setting of Palm Tree City, Florida, sets the stage for their individual pursuits – Blaz in filmmaking and Velana in music. The film artfully weaves a tale of intergenerational conflict, as the children's grandparents, The Count and Aradia the Witch, must overcome a long-standing feud to aid in their search. Amidst this, a sinister plot unfolds involving Professor Prater, who seeks to exploit the children. Despite its fantastical premise, "The Hybrids Family" champions themes of love conquering prejudice and the pursuit of dreams, offering a lighthearted yet touching exploration of family bonds and self-discovery. With a cast including Paul Sorvino and Carolyn Hennesy, the movie delivers a charming and adventurous experience that ultimately celebrates acceptance.
