THE HUNTRESS: RUNE OF THE DEAD

Cinemavixion Review

In 'The Huntress: Rune of the Dead,' director Rasmus Tirzitis presents a narrative centered on two sisters grappling with the prolonged absence of their father, who vanished during a Viking raid two years prior. The elder sister, Runa, steps into his responsibilities, finding solace and purpose in activities like bow hunting. However, her days are increasingly shadowed by disturbing dreams and visions, leaving the audience to question whether these premonitions portend future events or are merely the manifestations of her deep-seated anxieties. The film delves into themes of loss, familial duty, and the psychological toll of uncertainty, setting a somber tone against a backdrop of Viking-era life.
