THE NIGHT THEY KNOCKED

Cinemavixion Review

Sean Roberts' "The Night They Knocked" plunges viewers into a claustrophobic thriller where a celebratory weekend among friends devolves into a desperate fight for survival. Set against the isolated backdrop of a reclusive mountain house, the film masterfully builds tension from the moment an unexpected knock disrupts the group's camaraderie. Linnea Gregg, Deirdre Koczur, and Jack Buckley deliver compelling performances, portraying characters whose initial lightheartedness gives way to palpable fear and suspicion. The narrative skillfully explores the fragility of trust when faced with an unseen threat, transforming a simple premise into a gripping descent into paranoia. This is a taut and atmospheric horror that effectively uses its setting to amplify the psychological stakes, making for a truly unsettling cinematic experience.
