THE FOLLOWER

Cinemavixion Review

Kévin Mendiboure's "The Follower" plunges viewers into the unsettling world of internet fame and supernatural dread. The film centers on David Baker, a video blogger who accepts an invitation to document alleged paranormal activity within the home of an eccentric recluse, Carol. While initially skeptical, David soon finds himself ensnared in a mystery that transcends mere online content, as an unseen entity appears to have a singular interest in him. Though the film garnered a modest reception according to IMDb ratings, its premise offers a compelling hook for fans of psychological thrillers and found-footage horror. The narrative skillfully builds tension, exploring themes of isolation and the blurred lines between the digital persona and personal reality. "The Follower" is a chilling exploration of how the things we seek can sometimes find us, leaving a lingering sense of unease long after the credits roll.
