THE DOCUMENTARY

Cinemavixion Review

In "The Documentary," director Walter Moise crafts a chilling thriller that blurs the lines between moviemaking and malevolence. The film follows Sandra, a woman approached by a seemingly benign filmmaker for a project centered on overcoming fears. However, this premise quickly unravels as the filmmaker's true intentions — that of a predatory stalker — are revealed, hiding a far more sinister truth. While the film may not have garnered major awards or widespread critical acclaim, its taut narrative and unsettling atmosphere offer a compelling exploration of vulnerability and deception. The performances, particularly from the lead, anchor the escalating dread, making "The Documentary" a noteworthy entry for fans of psychological horror and suspense. Its tight runtime ensures a consistently engaging experience, leaving audiences to ponder the dark realities that can lie beneath a veneer of creative ambition.
