THE CRADLE

Cinemavixion Review

Tim Brown's "The Cradle" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative of a family terrorized by a vengeful spirit. The film masterfully builds suspense as Frank and Julie, portrayed with palpable desperation, grapple with their son Sam's inexplicable illness and the encroaching dread of Frank's nightmarish premonitions. The isolated small town setting amplifies the sense of helplessness, making the unfolding supernatural horror all the more potent. As Frank uncovers the tragic origins of the curse—a child buried alive—the story escalates into a frantic battle against madness and a spectral force. Amanda Smith delivers a compelling performance, anchoring the film's emotional core amidst the escalating terror. "The Cradle" is a solid entry in the supernatural thriller genre, offering a compelling mystery and a genuinely unsettling atmosphere that lingers long after the credits roll.
