THE COLOUR OUT OF SPACE

Cinemavixion Review

Huân Vu's 2010 "The Colour Out of Space" plunges viewers into a chilling descent into the unknown, inspired by the cosmic dread of H.P. Lovecraft. The narrative follows a young protagonist venturing into Germany, drawn by the mystery of his father's disappearance. His quest leads him to a desolate area tainted by an otherworldly influence, a direct consequence of a fallen meteorite. The film masterfully builds an atmosphere of unsettling dread, exploring themes of isolation and the corrupting power of forces beyond human comprehension. While the external data is unavailable for comparison, this independent production, featuring performances from Paul Dorsch, Jürgen Heimüller, and Ingo Heise, offers a distinctively unnerving take on cosmic horror, promising a thought-provoking experience for fans of the genre.
