THE CHRIST SLAYER

Cinemavixion Review

Nathaniel Nose's "The Christ Slayer" (2019) offers a unique perspective on the Passion narrative, centering on the Roman soldier Longinus, portrayed by Carl Weyant. The film delves into Longinus's journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening as he encounters a mysterious stranger on the road to Emmaus. While the external data notes the film is part of a trilogy and has received 9 nominations, its IMDb rating of 3.0/10 suggests a mixed reception. The narrative promises an exploration of faith and forgiveness through the eyes of a soldier grappling with his role in a pivotal historical event, making it an intriguing, albeit potentially polarizing, cinematic endeavor.
