THE BEGINNINGS OF HUMAN CIVILIZATION AND MORE DEEP TIME HISTORY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the profound origins of human civilization, charting a course from the nascent experiments with agriculture around 8,000 BC to the revolutionary impact of geographical discoveries. It artfully connects the dots between fundamental scientific principles—physics, geology, biology, and chemistry—and the trajectory of human history. The narrative skillfully illustrates how early innovations, such as crop cultivation, laid the groundwork for societal transformation. It also explores pivotal moments, like Columbus's voyages, framed by the Earth's own geological and geographical characteristics, highlighting how perceived failures can lead to monumental shifts. The film extends its scope to the grandest scales, referencing cosmic events like asteroid impacts, to underscore the deep-time forces that have shaped our existence. Ultimately, it celebrates human ingenuity in harnessing natural processes to sustain an ever-expanding global population, from the advent of early machinery to the complexities of modern food production.
