Cinemavixion Review

Professor Alice Roberts and the "Digging for Britain" team embark on a compelling journey through Britain's past, unearthing evidence that reshapes our understanding of Roman and Viking influence. The series delves into significant archaeological sites, from a vulnerable Roman villa in Folkestone to a puzzling burial ground of infants in Buckinghamshire. It critically examines the enduring myths surrounding Viking culture, revealing their profound impact on British society through artifacts like buried chess pieces and ancient burial grounds. Furthermore, the program sheds light on the sophisticated societies of the Bronze and Iron Ages, with discoveries at the Cladh Hallan site in Scotland challenging existing notions of prehistoric life and death rituals. "Digging for Britain's Most Incredible Finds" offers a fascinating glimpse into the meticulous work of archaeologists and the rich, often surprising, tapestry of Britain's historical narrative.
