TAILGATE

Cinemavixion Review

Jai Hogg's 'Tailgate' plunges viewers into a harrowing, confined experience, reminiscent of taut thrillers like 'Buried' and 'Phone Booth'. The film masterfully builds suspense, trapping its protagonist, Luke, in the trunk of a speeding car with a killer under orders to end his life within three days. This premise alone is a potent cocktail of mystery and psychological tension. With key performances from Peter Marshall, Damian Smith, and Sam Young, 'Tailgate' promises a gripping narrative that explores themes of survival and desperation against overwhelming odds. The claustrophobic setting is not just a backdrop but an active participant in the unfolding dread, ensuring that the audience remains on the edge of their seats as Luke confronts his grim fate and the enigmatic driver dictating it.
