SYDNEY UNDERWORLD GANG 'THE TEAM'

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the shadowy origins of Sydney's criminal underworld, focusing on the rise of a feared enforcer within 'The Team.' The narrative traces his journey from a life of violence, murder, and drug trafficking, under the tutelage of notorious figures like Lenny McPherson and George Freeman, to an unexpected spiritual transformation. The film offers a stark look at the brutal realities of organized crime in Australia, exploring the complex dynamics of loyalty, power, and redemption. While the specifics of the individual's transformation are intriguing, the documentary could benefit from a more in-depth exploration of the societal factors that allowed such gangs to flourish and the lasting impact they had on the city.
