Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling 1975 disappearance of Juanita Nielsen, a case that remains one of Australia's most enduring and perplexing murder mysteries. "Australian Crime Stories" grants viewers unprecedented access to the original investigation files, peeling back the layers of a probe seemingly hampered from its inception. The narrative expertly reconstructs the events leading up to Nielsen's vanishing, highlighting the systemic failures and potential cover-ups that derailed the search for truth. The film underscores the continued anguish of her family and the police, particularly in light of the doubled reward in 2021, a testament to the enduring hope for closure and the recovery of Nielsen's remains. It's a somber, investigative piece that compels viewers to confront the lingering questions surrounding this notorious cold case.
