Cinemavixion Review

David Kuan's 2013 film, "The Supernatural Events on Campus," offers a unique blend of horror and romance, delving into a haunting ghost love story set against the backdrop of a university. The narrative follows Susu, a student at Huaxi University, whose life takes a chilling turn after a disturbing encounter in a park and a subsequent stay at a mysterious inn plagued by supernatural occurrences. While initially met with disbelief, her experiences find an ally in Lin Feng, a photographer. Their shared time together blossoms into an unexpected romance, tinged with a sense of uncanny familiarity for Susu as she uncovers the truth behind the spectral events. Though the film garnered a modest reception, with an IMDb rating of 3.7/10, its intriguing premise and exploration of love transcending the spectral realm make it a noteworthy entry for fans of supernatural romances seeking a touch of the eerie.
